The Children's nursing staff: our Champions
Every day, the Children's nurses care for our young patients with courage, compassion, dedication and resilience. This is what little Harper’s family witnessed first-hand while she was in the Hospital. Born prematurely, baby Harper spent 8 weeks in the NICU with her parents, Samantha and Dr. Robert Sternszus of the Children’s.
"The many nurses who cared for Harper provided so much love and compassion and were instrumental in her recovery. They cared for her as if she was their own. They checked in on her progress and answered all of our questions, helping us understand what to expect. It is thanks to their support that we were finally able to bring our baby home," says Samantha.
Today, Harper is a happy little girl who loves to move. Thanks to their incredible strength, the Hospital's 1,450 nurses help children like Harper regain their energy.
Mom and dad presented 8 Champions pins to members of Harper's medical team to honor their hard work and kindness and to help support the Hospital’s most urgent needs.
See how you can thank our Champions.
