Champions: 15 NICU staff members honoured
At the Children’s, one third of all patient beds are found in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Around the clock, these tiny warriors are dependent on our exceptional multidisciplinary team who not only provide key medical support but who also act as an emotional pillar when families need it most. It comes as no surprise that there has been consistent recognition of staff efforts through the Foundation’s Champions Pin Program!
Meet 6 out of the 15 NICU staff members who were honoured with a Champions Pin by mother Beulah and her daughter Malia, for having gone above and beyond with their care. This picture was taken a month after Malia had been discharged from the hospital and Beulah still continuously expresses her utmost gratitude to the entire team for how they treated and cared for her and her daughter. These special relationships will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
Our Champions Pins are so meaningful for staff. They are a genuine reminder that their work has made, and will continue to make, a significant impact on patient care.
Honour your Hospital Champions and put a smile on their faces!
