Fondation Charles-Bruneau: Care and Research

In 1988, Charles Bruneau, son of reporter and tv host Pierre Bruneau, lost his battle against leukemia.

The Fondation Charles-Bruneau was founded in his memory. For almost 25 years, the Fondation Charles-Bruneau aims to give all Quebec children with cancer the best chance of recovery by financing research and supporting the development of projects in the area of pediatric oncology.

After investing $1.5 million to fund the Charles-Bruneau Hematology-Oncology Day Treatment Centre, the Fondation Charles-Bruneau is redoubling its efforts to support pediatric cancer research by investing in the work of Dr. Nada Jabado, pediatric hemato-oncologist and researcher. This investment will allow Dr. Jabado and her team to help advance research on glioblastomas in children, one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer. We're proud of this new financial commitment, totalling $4 million over five years.

Thank you to Fondation Charles-Bruneau for having our cancer patients and their families at heart.
