Opération Enfant Soleil provides better technology for the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s young patients

OES

Opération Enfant Soleil came to Montreal during its annual tour to distribute funds.  With Maxime Landry and Annie Broccoli as hosts, the organization distributed $2,816,782 to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. These funds will go to support different hospital units, the Department of Medical Imaging, the Opération Enfant Soleil Emergency Department and operating rooms, through the purchase of state of the art equipment like physiological monitors, ultrasound equipment and diagnostic systems, an x-ray system, a heart lunch machine and a digital electromyography. Opération Enfant Soleil will also play a key role in contributing to an innovative new project called CHILD-BRIGHT.  The objective of this initiative is to transform outcomes for thousands of children born with, or living with, brain-based development challenges. This pioneering venture has recently been named a priority by the government of Quebec. This project aims to improve healthcare services for children and provide them with services that are better adapted to their complex needs. Parents will also receive support early in the care process. They will be better informed about the resources available to them and have access to more tools, should these be required. On behalf of the patients and their families, we want to thank Opération Enfant Soleil and its loyal donors for their generosity!
