COVID-19: Children's Foundation Prevention Measures

Caring is in the Children’s DNA, as it is in yours.  The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation is deeply grateful to count you among our wonderful community of people who support the Children’s patients and their families.

Together, we are facing a time of uncertainty and an urgent call to protect the most vulnerable members of our society. The challenge to our healthcare system posed by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is unprecedented.  While the elderly are at risk, so are many of our young patients with illnesses that have weakened or destroyed their immune systems.

To protect the health of our patients and their families, our donors, volunteers, hospital and Foundation staff, we want to let you know that we have taken the following measures:

  1. Our Glen site office is closed. However, our entire team is hard at homework and can be reached through email or at our main number, 514-934-4846. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We are still here for you!

  2. All cheque presentations at our offices or the Hospital have been suspended. We will be happy to reschedule once the crisis has passed. We can’t wait to celebrate your generosity!

  3. There are no Foundation flagship fundraising events scheduled until the end of May but we are following the crisis closely and will keep you updated. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our third-party event organizers for postponing their events. We know you work hard for the kids and we look forward to seeing you and your loyal participants once the crisis is over.

  4. Our donors are our heroes, and so are our patients and staff. We will continue to share their stories on our social media, along with vital information from the medical experts at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Find out how to stay safe or simply take a break from the day’s uncertainty and worry and be inspired by what your support is doing!  FacebookLinkedinTwitterInstagram

Quebec and the rest of the world are on hold. But there is no respite for our young patients and the Children’s staff. Because we are committed to their health as well as yours and your loved ones’, thank you for following the Children's prevention measures.

We also encourage you to help protect your family and community by keeping up to date on the fight against COVID-19.  For information you can trust, please visit https://www.msss.gouv.qc.ca/professionnels/maladies-infectieuses/coronavirus-2019-ncov/

These are extraordinary times but we can get through them by working together.  Thank you for being part of the Montreal Children’s Hospital family.
