Golf Tournament: A Tightly Linked Community
Once again, the Montreal business community proved what great corporate citizens they are at the 22nd Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament, raising $ 710,000.
200 players enjoyed perfect weather for a fun day at the legendary Royal Montreal Golf Club. In the evening, cocktail, dinner and an auction were on order. Dr. Jean-Pierre Farmer, a member of the tournament's organizing committee and chief surgeon at the Children’s, personally thanked all those present for their generosity. Congratulations to the BELDEN team, who once again brought home the trophy this year.
Proceeds from the tournament are directed towards fellowships in pediatric surgery – cornerstones of learning at a teaching hospital. These give the Children’s patients access to an international pool of extraordinary medical talent.
We want to thank our honorary presidents - and grateful parents - Anik Lanthier and Jeff Tory for their participation and testimonial. Thank you to RBC, Nova Steel and Fednav and all our sponsors who contributed to the success of our tournament. A special thank you to all our gift-in-kind donors, including Estiatorio Milos, a main partner of our auction.
In the late evening, we proceeded to draw the pair of hockey season tickets for 2018-2019. The winner is André Mainville - ticket # 354. Thank you to all who participated in the draw.
