Children's heroes honoured at the Bell Centre

What better place to celebrate the dedication and exemplary work of The Children's heroes than the home of the Habs?

In front of a crowd of 20,000 enthusiastic spectators, four employees of the Hospital were honoured on December 15th at the Canadiens' Reverse Retro Night presented by RBC, one of our most valued partners.

In turn, Nancy Alarie, Rachel Dragan, Kristina St-Arnaud and Lori Wilson became the Heroes of the Game, a well-deserved tribute to these women who give their all to ensure the well-being of our young patients.

Nancy Alarie is a dedicated physiotherapist who has been a tremendous help supporting the nurses both in the ER and the units. Nancy has also added some evening and weekend shifts to her workload, given the unprecedented situation of urgent cases at The Children's.

Rachel Dragan is a hard-working Pediatric Intensive Care nurse. She is always taking on new challenges and consistently strives to deliver the best patient and family centered care possible. She is a valuable member of the PICU nursing team.

Kristina St-Arnaud is a nurse and a Children's hero because of her commitment to her patients and her team. She shows up every day with a positive attitude despite the challenges we are currently facing in the ER. She is a leader, a positive role model, and an excellent nurse.

Lori Wilson has worked as a Respiratory Therapist at The Children's since 1992. She is one of our many RT heroes, providing life support to our sickest patients in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. She is a mentor and a wonderful example of dedication and professionalism to her colleagues.

Thank you to RBC, a long-time partner of The Children's Foundation, for its generous support of our extended family.
