Andy Collins Funday raised $303,000!

Stampede

The 19th Andy Collins for Kids annual Funday which was held last weekend was a success. With incredible support from golfers, bull riders, dancers, sponsors, generous donors and volunteers, the organizers presented a cheque to the Montreal Children’s Hospital for $303,000. This brings their 19-year total to an impressive $2,847,000! The proceeds will go to Saving Children’s Brains trauma prevention program. ‘’The bull has gone to pasture and the pasture has been cleaned off the dance floor… almost! Reputations remain more or less intact depending on which table you were at. By all accounts, this Country Rock Stampede was our best Funday ever, though saying that every year seems impossible!’’ the organizers note on their page. Honouring the legacy of Andy Collins The organizers chose to honour the legacy of Andy Collins by sharing his passion for the finer things in life. This lovable group of friends has accomplished the unthinkable: they have raised more than $2.8 million to benefit the Montreal Children’s Hospital, largely through their annual Uncle Buck golf tournament. Andy would have been proud. ‘’Doubtless, he is keeping a watch on us somewhere.’’ For more information about Andy Collins for Kids: andycollinsforkids.ca
