During the Holiday season, we called on your generosity and wow, did you ever answer the call! Even more of you than last year chose to make a gift to support families of sick children who desperately needed financial support to help them through very difficult times. When a child becomes seriously ill, often a parent will have to stop working while unforeseen expenses mount. Caroline, Simon’s mom, went through that ordeal because her son is battling leukemia. Thanks to you, more than 600 families will benefit from the Tiny Tim Fund throughout the year to help them pay for their parking, accommodation, medication, meals etc., allowing them to concentrate on what matters most: the health and well-being of their children. Young Zachary, like hundreds of Children’s donors and Facebook friends, took time from the hustle and bustle of the holidays to write words of encouragement to patients and families who had to spend their holidays at the hospital instead of being at home with their loved ones.We placed your kind and inspirational words with patients on the Christmas tree, the billboards and handed some out to patients, like Bryanna.
