In 2006, Shire made an important contribution to the Children’s Foundation in recognition of Dr. Lily Hechtman’s outstanding contribution to research in ADHD. Dr. Hechtman is a leading authority in the field of ADHD. Shire’s support is designated for her research projects and graduate and post-graduate students.

Shire hopes that these efforts will result in a better understanding of ADHD across the life span and enable the development of effective diagnostic and treatment approaches, which in turn will result in better short and long-term outcomes for patients, their families and society.
