Zoe Saskin`s incredible fight for life just moments after her birth inspired Ski for the Children’s, now in its seventh year. Since its beginnings, almost $ 1 million has been raised for the Hospital!
Zoe’s story: the source of the event
A commitment that makes a big difference
In 2010, the Saskins and their organizing committee committed to completing a family room on the medical-surgical in-patient ward of the new Montreal Children’s Hospital on the Glen site. Parents and family members will have a place where they can fix meals, catch up on work and household affairs or take a few moments for themselves, always in close proximity to their sick child. This room will make a lasting difference in the lives of the countless young patients and families who bravely face surgery, be it minor or life-saving. Other projects made possible thanks to Ski for the Children’s include an endowment fund in Pediatric General Surgery as well as a Giraffe incubator for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Thank you!
A big thank you to the Saskins and their supporters for their commitment and outstanding sense of organization. Thanks to fundraisers, sponsors, donors and everyone who participated in Ski for the Children’s to help make this accomplishment possible. Your contributions have been invaluable and your spirit and energy bring together the community in an annual tradition that we can all be proud of.
