Anna wouldn't miss this event for the world

Anna was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on Sept 19, 2011, when she was only two years old. We came to the Children’s ER thinking she had an ear infection. Learning that she had cancer and not an ear infection was beyond brutal, we couldn’t believe it. And knowing her treatment was going to last almost four years, was another shocking news.

But many good things happened too: being treated by Dr. David Mitchell and his amazing team at the Children’s made this journey an uplifting experience! As soon as were admitted to Sarah’s Floor, we were told about Splash & Dash. Of course we didn’t have the energy or were in the mood to “celebrate” an illness. We were wrong, from that moment, the support from Splash & Dash became paramount to Anna’s recovery. When she was 3 years old she  joined Splash & Dash as the youngest heroine/competitor ever! Since then, Anna cannot miss a year without being part of the Splash & Dash community. The 2016 S&D edition will mark her 5th participation and for the first time she will be a “splasher” like Founder and Heroine Sara Cook. - Claudia, Anna's mom [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="341" caption="Anna in 2016"][/caption] Come join Sarah, Anna and other amazing Heroes & Heroines, friends, families, schools, and corporations for a day of fun and of a celebration of life, on November 5th.  http://childrenfoundation.com/donate-now/
