More than $370 million raised, setting a new standard for hospital foundations in Quebec

The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation is marking the conclusion of its major fundraising campaign, Unexpected Ways to Heal, which raised $373,514,076, an unprecedented result that makes it the most successful campaign ever undertaken by a hospital foundation in Quebec.
Unveiled during the 25th edition of the Bal des tannants, presented by the Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation, the result reflects an extraordinary wave of support from tens of thousands of donors across the province.
Beyond the numbers, the campaign helped make several groundbreaking initiatives possible in Quebec and Canada. It has helped propel pediatric care and research at The Montreal Children’s Hospital in tangible ways, by supporting projects that are changing children’s lives across Quebec.
“The generosity of Quebecers has been truly remarkable. Tonight, we are celebrating an extraordinary collective mobilization and the lasting impact it will have on thousands of children and families across Quebec and around the world,” said Renée Vézina, president of The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
More than 800 guests from the worlds of philanthropy, business, healthcare and politics gathered for the occasion at the Starlink Aviation hangar, transformed for an evening that blended elegance and a touch of playful mischief, the signature of the Bal des tannants.
The Bal des tannants raised an exceptional total of $2.75 million in support of The Montreal Children’s Hospital and its young patients.

“What we’ve accomplished together goes far beyond the numbers. It’s about the lives we’re changing. And you can’t put a price on that,” P.K. Subban said during the evening.
