En l'honneur 2023: Mr. David Berger- La Fondation de l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants

Monarch Specialties, a leader in furniture and home décor for 56 years, is once again raising funds for The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This effort, spearheaded by Monarch President David Berger, directly supports the efforts of young physicians who are “Fellows” at The Montreal Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatrics.

These Fellows have completed their basic specialty training in pediatrics and are undergoing further training to acquire subspecialty skills. This training lasts 1-3 years and there are currently 32 Fellows working in 11 disciplines, including our neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, cardiology, neurology, hematology-oncology and respirology. They provide care to children who are very ill, with challenging disorders, and therefore require care at a highly specialized center such as The Children’s. Fellows often take part in research efforts that will contribute to our ability to alter and improve future outcomes for our patients.

The Montreal Children’s international reputation as a world leader in pediatrics attracts the brightest Fellows from Canada and around the globe. These international Fellows, when returning to their homes, will take what they have learned in Montreal to their own local and national health networks impacting the lives of children across the world.
