Donald Cohen Autism Research, Practice, and Policy Series
Please join us for the official launch of the 2014-15 Donald Cohen Autism Research, Practice, and Policy Series with our special guests, the McCreary Family. Michael McCreary, an 18-year-old who was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome at the age of five, is realizing his dream of becoming a stand-up comedian and will perform his routine.
Accompanied by his inspirational family, he is also taking his show on the road and will be making a documentary about their trip. Michael will interview families across Canada, highlighting their stories of positive experiences and messages of hope to help change the stereotype of autism. Their goal is to build a better understanding of autism by showing the diversity within the spectrum and help to form a united voice for families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
