Gary’s walk to MCH for Sian and the kids

Raising funds for: STEP-BY-STEP-TEMBRE Virtual Walk–A–Thon

Healthy children are common and a blessing. Yet every day in Canada 6 children are diagnosed with cancer and it is the second leading cause of child deaths after accidents. Thankfully medicine has advanced significantly to provide treatment for kids affected but there is always more that can be done. For these reasons and more I have been involved in supporting the Sian Bradwell Fund of the Montreal Children’s Hospital (MCH). More specifically, helping to organize the annual softball tournament. Since it’s inception over 30 years ago we raised over $1.3M through various events. Though sadly we have been forced to cancel the softball tournament the last 2 years and have been raising funds through online events but it does not generate what we have raised in the past.
So how about in September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, old Gary steps/walks, jogs, limps from his home in Pierrefonds West to the MCH? It’s only 28kms and should take about 6 hours depending on how his hip behaves (wimping already started). Will you support me? Please do, any amount is welcome! All donations of $20 or more will be issued a tax receipt. Any questions I can be reached at the email below.
