Raising funds for: Pedal for Kids 2019
Hiding behind David Saracino’s charming smile is the hard work and continuous care of Dr. Mirko Gilardino, craniofacial surgeon, and his multidisciplinary medical team. At only ten days old, David was diagnosed with Saethre-Chotzen Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects the growth of his bones and poses a significant risk for his brain.
After three major operations performed by the surgeons at the MCH, David was forced to wear a “halo” around his head, 24-hours a day, for nearly three months. This process allowed David’s skull and facial bones to reposition themselves slowly for a more natural development.
By supporting us, all your donations will help children with craniofacial disorders. We sincerely thank all our participants and donors for their generous contribution.
