Dejeun'aide - Breakfast with Leaders
In support of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation (MCHF), Déjeun’aide – Breakfast with Leaders – provides an opportunity for ambitious young professionals to network with business, social and corporate leaders over an intimate breakfast. In addition to providing students and young professionals the opportunity to meet with business leaders, this will also allow leaders to engage with and mentor the next generation of enthusiastic professionals.
Déjeun’aide is the ONLY student-led charitable breakfast event in Montreal centered to connecting young professionals with business, social and corporate leaders.
On Friday October 26th, 2018, motivated students, young professionals and leaders will gather at the Centre Mont-Royal for the 3rd edition of Déjeun’aide.
What started off as a passion to help, developed into a sought responsibility to give back to our community. In the hopes of raising the involvement of the McGill University student body with MCHF, Déjeun’aide will attract individuals from various levels of business who’s sponsors will help fund the event.
As part of the Young Leader’s Circle, all the proceeds will be allocated to the Craniofacial Surgery Department of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, to treat children with craniofacial anomalies (affecting the bones of the skull and face) and develop complex care plans for patients to offer each child the safest and most advanced surgical treatment possible. The families of children born with the anomalies can be confident that their child will be evaluated by a specialized pediatrician.

To operate at full capacity and remain a leader in Quebec and in Canada, the H.B. Williams Craniofacial and Cleft Surgery Unit of the Montreal Children’s Hospital requires an annual budget of nearly $900,000.
Only 50% of the budget comes from government funding. The hospital relies on the generosity of the Montreal community to fill the deficit.
The team behind Dejeun’aide is a made up of determined young leaders who range between current university students focusing on their studies or who are post-degree and are at the start of their careers. A fundamental commonality that this team is passionate about is supporting the growth and functions of the Montreal Children’s Hospital and the role the hospital plays in the community.
